Jasper’s colours stem from the mineral content of the original sediments or ash. Patterns arise during the consolidation process forming flow and depositional patterns in the original silica rich sediment or volcanic ash.
The Rhodonite crystal meaning comes from the word rhodon, which means ‘rose’ in Greek. Rhodonite often has black manganese oxide veins running through a specimen, giving it the distinct appearance of pink with black crisscrossing lines and flower-like formations throughout.
Opalite is a man-made stone. This is a subtle and soft yet dynamic shimmery glass-resin, which is mainly composed of mineral dolomite attached with metal, in order to produce an opalescent presence.
