Silicon Carbide chunks

Carborundum is produced artifically in large quantities as an abrasive. Most is crushed and used in griding grits and abrasive papers. It is made up of hexagonal plates of silicon carbide with irridescent surface colours. These specimens have been electroplated with an aura coating.
